Angela Bowers Dennard passed away on October 7, 2024, at the age of 61. Born in Dallas on October 20, 1962, to Don and Jeanette Bowers and raised in Irving, she graduated from MacArthur High School in 1981. She and her husband, David, married on June 25, 1983, and lived all over Texas - in Victoria, McAllen, Arlington, Midland, and Houston - before moving to Boerne in 2009. Angie enjoyed needlepoint, reading, gardening, cooking, Bible study, travel, dogs, chickens, and her family and friends. A loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and faithful member of First Baptist Church Boerne, Angie served in the children’s program and volunteered at Hill Country Daily Bread. Her strong faith in Christ was an inspiration.
Angie is survived by her husband, David; four sons, Justin and wife Qiana, Benjamin and wife Cecilia (granddaughters Peyton and Rylee), Marcus, and Gregory; one brother, Michael Bowers and wife Eddie; one sister, Jana and husband Matt Rogers; and aunts Gayle Howington (husband Bob) and Kathy Comer.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, October 18 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church Boerne, followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution to Hill Country Daily Bread Ministries in Boerne, Texas.
