On Monday morning, September 9th, a Bandera Independent School District (BISD) bus was involved in an accident. According to Bandera ISD Superintendent Gary Bitzkie, the bus was carrying only one student at the time of the incident. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
"We are so thankful to BISD Transportation's attention to safety, and the fact that both student and driver were safely secured in their seatbelts, so no injuries were sustained," said Bitzkie.
The district emphasized that the accident was not the fault of the bus driver or Bandera ISD. The district's team responded immediately to ensure that all necessary protocols were followed. Safety and well-being of students and staff remain the top priority for the district.
