On Saturday, September 7, 2024, Kyle Police Officers responded to an active robbery at Broadway Bank, located at 5089 Kyle Parkway. Bank employees immediately notified law enforcement after the suspect fled the scene.
Eyewitnesses described the suspect as a white male wearing a facemask, who escaped in a white passenger vehicle. Through the efforts of responding officers, detectives, and a Crime Analyst, the vehicle was identified as a 2019 white Chevrolet Malibu.
Further investigation revealed the registered owner as 37-year-old Garrett Ryan Luddeke, a resident of La Vernia, Texas. An arrest warrant was issued for Luddeke on Thursday, September 12, 2024, on charges of robbery.
Luddeke was apprehended by the La Vernia Police Department the following day, Friday, September 13, 2024. He has since been released from the Wilson County Jail on a $40,000 bond.
