Two Shot in Parking Lot Incident at New Braunfels Applebee’s

In the early hours of October 1, 2024, at approximately 12:20 a.m., the New Braunfels Police Department (NBPD) and the New Braunfels Fire Department responded to a report of a shooting in the parking lot of Applebee’s located in the 900 block of the I-35 North frontage road.

Upon arrival, NBPD officers discovered two victims inside a vehicle. A 19-year-old male from New Braunfels and a 20-year-old female from Comal County both sustained gunshot wounds. Officers immediately initiated life-saving measures until paramedics arrived. Both victims were subsequently transported to Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) in San Antonio. The female victim is currently in stable condition, while the male victim remains in critical but stable condition.

Despite a thorough search of the area, officers were unable to locate any suspects. The NBPD Criminal Investigations Division is actively investigating the incident.

Authorities urge anyone with information regarding the shooting, including details about the suspect's identity, to contact the New Braunfels Police or Comal County Crime Stoppers. Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $4,000 for information leading to an arrest and/or grand jury indictment.
