Bandera Middle School Principal Bobby LaLanne has informed parents and guardians of a situation involving a threatening letter discovered on campus earlier today. The letter was immediately confiscated by staff, and the student involved was removed and investigated by law enforcement and district personnel. After a thorough search and interview, it was determined there was no immediate danger to students or staff.
Bandera ISD is working closely with law enforcement and district administration, emphasizing that the situation is being taken seriously. The district will enforce all applicable laws, including Texas Penal Code 22.07 (Terroristic Threat), and the Bandera ISD Student Code of Conduct.
Principal LaLanne reassured parents that the safety of students remains the top priority and encouraged them to report any concerns. Parents with additional information or questions are encouraged to contact the school directly.
