Husband Charged with Murder in Disappearance of Olmos Park Realtor; Search Expands to Bandera

Suzanne Clark Simpson

Olmos Park Police and the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) provided updates on November 8 regarding the ongoing search for 51-year-old Suzanne Simpson, who went missing over a month ago. Suzanne, a realtor and mother of four, was last seen on October 6 near her family’s home on East Olmos Drive. According to a neighbor, Suzanne’s husband, Brad Simpson, 53, was seen physically restraining her following an argument. Three days later, Brad was arrested and initially charged with assault, unlawful restraint of a family member, and illegal possession of a rifle.

Since then, investigators have pursued leads across multiple sites in Olmos Park, Kendall County, a landfill east of San Antonio, and now the Bandera area. Texas DPS stated that enough evidence led to Brad Simpson’s upgraded charge of murder on October 9, though Suzanne’s remains have yet to be located. Olmos Park Police Chief Fidel Villegas confirmed that despite the murder charge, authorities continue to search for her body.

DPS spokesperson Deon Cockrell urged the public to report any information, emphasizing that while the district attorney’s office proceeds with prosecution, the search for Suzanne is ongoing. Brad Simpson remains in custody with his bond set at $5 million.
