A 41-year-old man has been arrested following a road rage incident that led to a shooting in South Bexar County on Saturday, January 25, 2025.
Deputies with the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a shooting linked to a confrontation involving Alberto Rodriguez, 41. During the altercation, Rodriguez allegedly brandished a firearm at the victim, who attempted to flee. Rodriguez pursued the victim south on Highway 281 to Martinez-Losoya Road, where the victim crashed into a fence. Rodriguez then approached and shot the victim once.
The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
Investigators quickly identified Rodriguez, obtained an arrest warrant, and took him into custody earlier today. He has been booked into the Bexar County Jail and faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, tampering with evidence, and endangering a child.
