Hays County Narcotics Investigation Leads to Arrest, Seizure of Drugs and Stolen Firearms

A narcotics investigation conducted by the Hays County Sheriff’s Office Repeat Offender Program (ROP) Unit has resulted in the arrest of a Wimberley/Driftwood man and the seizure of significant quantities of various illegal drugs and multiple firearms, including two that were reported stolen.

The investigation, which began in April 2025 and targeted 37-year-old Raymond Hartoin, culminated on April 8, 2025, with the execution of an arrest warrant and a narcotics search warrant at a residence on Brownson Lane in Driftwood. The ROP Unit was assisted in the operation by the HCSO Drone Unit, Interdiction Unit, and patrol deputies.

During the search, authorities discovered and seized substantial amounts of Methamphetamine, Cocaine, MDMA, Ketamine, THC, and Marijuana, along with an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency.

In addition to the narcotics, investigators confiscated multiple firearms and ammunition. Two of the recovered firearms were identified as stolen, one from within Hays County and the other from Georgetown, TX.

Hartoin was taken into custody and booked into the Hays County Jail. He faces charges including ten counts of Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, and two counts of Theft of a Firearm, in addition to an unrelated pre-existing warrant.
