The Kerrville Parks and Recreation Department is celebrating Earth Day by waiving all day-use entry fees to Kerrville-Schreiner Park on Tuesday, April 22, 2025.
This initiative encourages the community to spend time in nature and reflect on the importance of environmental stewardship, a global theme of Earth Day for over 50 years. Kerrville-Schreiner Park, located at 2385 Bandera Hwy., offers easy access to the outdoors for residents.
To further celebrate, a guided morning hike will be hosted in partnership with Kerrville’s Bird City Committee. The hike will begin at 8:30 a.m. from Trailhead 4 and is designed to be a relaxed experience suitable for all ages and fitness levels.
Kerrville-Schreiner Park spans 517 acres and boasts private access to the Guadalupe River, the Texas Master Naturalist Pollinator Garden, a new shaded playground, and over 14 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails. The community is invited to take advantage of the free entry to immerse themselves in the park's beauty, enjoy the fresh air, and explore its natural attractions on Earth Day.
