On Friday, April 18, Bandera County Dispatch held its annual dinner and awards ceremony, recognizing the dedication and outstanding performance of its dispatch team. Nominations for the awards came from fellow dispatchers, community members, and even other sheriff’s offices.
The evening celebrated dispatchers for their exceptional service in handling critical situations across medical, police, and fire emergencies.
Award recipients included:
Robert Latiolait — Dispatcher of the Year: Medical
Miranda Bravo — Dispatcher of the Year: Police
Jim Kyle — Dispatcher of the Year: Fire and Dispatch Team of the Year
Angel Evans — Dispatch Team of the Year and Life Saving Award
Penny Persson — Customer Service and Critical Incident Awards
Amy Graham — Critical Incident of the Year and Guiding Light Awards
Chelan Reavis — Above and Beyond Award
Reagan Smith — Compassionate Responder Award
Amy Searcy — Team of the Year Award
Ashley Gutierrez — Rookie of the Year Award
Madeline Butler — Courage Award
The Bandera County Dispatch team also extended their gratitude to Fire Marshal Rutherford and Mrs. Rutherford for attending the ceremony and presenting the awards, as well as to the community for their ongoing support.
The dispatch team gave special thanks to Supervisor Amber Chupp for her leadership, guidance, and commitment to the team.
