Kerrville to Celebrate 75th Anniversary of Louise Hays Park This Saturday

The Kerrville Parks and Recreation Department is inviting the community to help celebrate a major milestone — the 75th anniversary of Louise Hays Park. The event will take place this Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at 202 Thompson Dr., in downtown Kerrville.

The celebration kicks off at 9:00 a.m. with the opening of the farmer’s market, a craft tent, and exhibitor booths. At 9:30 a.m., Mayor Joe Herring Jr. will deliver a welcome address and recognize individuals and organizations that have contributed to the park’s lasting impact on the community.

Live music performances will begin at 10:30 a.m., featuring Big Seed artists including Amber Stone, Cameron Smith, Kiah Middleton, Keegan McLaughlin, Parker Ruiz, Jacob Ordones, Damien Lopez, and Aliyah Bondeson. Singer-songwriter Landon Lloyd Miller will take the stage at 11:45 a.m.

In addition to live entertainment, the event will feature hands-on activities for all ages, a variety of exhibitor booths, and food vendors including La Tapatia, Lakenvelde, Doc's Ice Cream, and AC Amusement Concessions.

This community celebration is made possible by event sponsor McCoy’s Building Supply, along with additional support from Color of Clay, Walmart, Home Depot, and Kerr County Federal Credit Union.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to bring family and friends to honor the park’s legacy and enjoy a day filled with music, crafts, food, and fellowship.
