On Thursday, April 24, 2025, the Seguin Police Department's CASE Unit, acting on intelligence, located a wanted subject, 35-year-old Joseph Carlos Medrano, in the 500 block of S Crocket Street. Medrano had been wanted by pardon and parole for several years.
Officers spotted Medrano driving a black Dodge SUV on South River Street and East Shelby Street and initiated a traffic stop. Medrano fled, leading officers on a short vehicle pursuit. He returned to the 500 block of S Crocket Street and then fled on foot.
Seguin Police officers from the CASE Unit and Patrol Division, along with Guadalupe County Sheriff's Department patrol deputies, established a perimeter around a residence. Medrano was subsequently found hiding underneath the residence and was taken into custody without incident.
Medrano was arrested on his active parole violation warrant and additionally charged with Evading in a Motor Vehicle and Evading on foot.
