On Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at approximately 5:48 a.m., GCSO deputies and narcotics investigators executed two search warrants and an arrest warrant in connection with an illegal mushroom-grow operation. The warrants were executed at a residence in the 800 block of North Edison Street and a business in the 500 block of North Llano Street.
During the operation, a female subject was taken into custody without incident. Investigators found approximately 118 grams of psilocybin (mushrooms) and multiple plastic syringes containing mushroom spores at her residence. The female, a 26-year-old from Fredericksburg, was arrested on an active Kerr County warrant for Failure to Appear, two local warrants for Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 2 >= 4 grams < 400 grams, and an on-view charge for the same offense. The mushrooms were being grown at the residence and sold at the business.
Later that evening, at around 9:35 p.m., GCSO narcotics investigators arrested a male subject in the 13400 block of South Ranch Road 783. The arrest was part of an investigation into the sale of illegal narcotics. The male, a 32-year-old from Kerrville, TX, was charged with Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1 >= 1 gram < 4 grams (Cocaine).
All arrested individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
