New Braunfels Police Investigate Apparent Homicide-Suicide After Discovery of Two Deceased in Residence

On July 6, 2024, at approximately 5pm, the New Braunfels Police Department responded to a welfare concern at the 900 block of Pumpkin Ridge. The concern involved a female who had reportedly made threats to harm herself and her boyfriend, both of whom had not been in contact with family for several days. Upon arrival, officers entered the residence and discovered the bodies of a male and a female in a bedroom. Both individuals had sustained fatal gunshot wounds.

The deceased were identified as 32-year-old Abigail Garza from Robbstown and 45-year-old Michael Burrer from New Braunfels.
