Bank Robbery Incident in Schertz Ends Peacefully

On July 18, 2024, at approximately 3:02 P.M., the Schertz Police Department responded to a report of a bank robbery at the Randolph Brooks Federal Credit Union located at 4980 FM 3009. Officers arrived at the scene to assist customers and employees exiting the building.

After a short period, the suspect willingly exited the bank and surrendered. There were no injuries to officers or citizens, and the suspect was taken into custody without further incident. The incident is under investigation, and the Schertz Police Department has notified federal partners. No weapons were used during the incident.

The Schertz Police Department thanked the Cibolo Police Department and Guadalupe County Constable, Pct 3, for their assistance. The department assured the public there is no further threat to the community and advised a return to normalcy.
