San Antonio Man Arrested After Concealing Methamphetamine and Smoking Pipe During GCSO Investigation

On Thursday, July 18th, at approximately 3:30 PM, Gillespie County Sheriff's Office (GCSO) narcotics investigators and deputies contacted the occupants of a vehicle in a parking lot at the 700 block of South Washington Street in Fredericksburg regarding an investigation into the sale of illegal narcotics. The vehicle contained a female driver and a male passenger.

Both individuals were detained and cooperated with the investigation. The male passenger, 36 years old from San Antonio, TX, was found to have approximately 29.64 grams of methamphetamine concealed in his clothing. The female driver had a small amount of methamphetamine, which she received from the male passenger in exchange for providing transportation.

The female driver was released without charges. The male passenger was arrested and charged with Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1 (4 grams to less than 200 grams). During transport to the jail, he admitted to having additional contraband. At the jail, he was found to have concealed a glass smoking pipe and approximately 2.05 grams of methamphetamine in a clear plastic baggie within his underwear.
