On July 22, 2024, at approximately 9:30 PM, deputies with the Comal County Sheriff’s Office were called to a residence in the 100 block of Dry Bear Creek in New Braunfels for reports of a stabbing. Upon arrival, deputies found an adult male victim suffering from life-threatening stab wounds and immediately began life-saving measures.
The suspect was on location and taken into custody without incident. Paramedics from the Bulverde Spring Branch Fire Department arrived and continued to provide medical treatment to the victim. The victim, identified as 57-year-old William Tarnosky of New Braunfels, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The suspect has been identified as the victim’s son, 24-year-old William Tarnosky Jr. of New Braunfels. He was transported to the Comal County Jail and booked on a 1st Degree Felony charge of Murder. Bond amount has not yet been set.
The investigation is ongoing.
