Two Fredericksburg Men Arrested in Drug Raids Following Multi-Agency Investigation

On the morning of Thursday, August 15, 2024, at approximately 6:20 a.m., law enforcement agencies executed simultaneous search warrants at two residences in Fredericksburg, Texas. The operations were carried out by investigators and deputies from the Gillespie County Sheriff's Office (GCSO), with support from the Department of Public Safety (DPS) in San Antonio, the Kerr County Sheriff's Office, the Kendall County Sheriff's Office, the Fredericksburg Police Department, and Texas Parks & Wildlife.

The first search occurred at a residence in the 500 block of Deer Hollow. During this search, officers discovered a smoking device containing approximately 119.38 grams of a liquid identified as methamphetamine. The substance was linked to a 47-year-old male subject residing in Fredericksburg. The individual was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1/1-B >= 4 grams < 200 grams.

After being transported to the Gillespie County Jail, it was found that the suspect attempted to discard a baggie containing approximately 2.0 grams of a substance identified as cocaine while inside the patrol vehicle. As a result, he faced additional charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1/1-B >= 1 gram < 4 grams and Prohibited Substance in a Correctional Facility. The suspect also had outstanding warrants for Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1 >= 1 gram < 4 grams and Bail Jumping – Failure to Appear.

At the second location, a residence in the 600 block of East San Antonio Street, a 24-year-old male subject from Fredericksburg was arrested on a warrant for Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1 >= 1 gram < 4 grams. He was also transported to the Gillespie County Jail.

Both arrests are part of ongoing GCSO investigations into the distribution of illegal narcotics in the area over the past month.
