On August 16, 2024, at approximately 3:03 p.m., Schertz Police officers were dispatched to the intersection of Storm King and Black Butte following reports of a school bus collision involving a pedestrian. Upon arrival, officers observed that a school bus, #159, from Schertz Cibolo Universal City ISD Transportation, had been involved in a collision with an 8-year-old female pedestrian who attends Sippel Elementary School. The victim was transported by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities are working collaboratively with SCUC ISD and the victim to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident. The investigation is ongoing.
