On Saturday, August 31, 2024, at 9:17 p.m., local first responders were dispatched to the Kendall County Fairgrounds, located in the 1300 block of River Road in Boerne, following reports of a partial collapse of the seating at the rodeo arena. Several individuals sustained injuries and were transported to local hospitals for treatment.
The fair has been closed for the remainder of the evening following the incident. Multiple local agencies, including Kendall County Emergency Management, Kendall County EMS, the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office, and the Boerne Police and Fire Departments, responded to the scene. Additional support was provided by ambulances from the local MEDCOM.
An investigation into the cause of the collapse is currently underway.

There were a total of 12 patients who received injuries this evening.
