On September 29, 2024, at approximately 11:22 p.m., the Schertz Police Department responded to a fatal vehicle collision at the intersection of FM 1518 and Schaefer Road. The crash involved a motorcyclist and a bicyclist, resulting in the deaths of both individuals.
A female passenger on the motorcycle was transported to University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Schertz Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash and are awaiting confirmation of next of kin notifications before releasing the identities of the deceased.
