On Monday, September 30, a mechanical failure in an 18-wheeler led to a 100-gallon diesel fuel spill on Solms Road between the I-35 frontage road and FM 482 in New Braunfels. The spill has caused the closure of that section of Solms Road, resulting in traffic delays in the area.
Crews have contained the spill and are applying absorbent material to clean it up. The City of New Braunfels Fire Department is overseeing the cleanup efforts. Drivers should expect delays for the next several hours while the work continues.
