Early Friday, October 27, Kyle Police arrested ten Texas State University students following reports of Halloween decoration theft on Hometown Parkway. Around 12:48 a.m., officers responded to a call reporting stolen decorations valued at $500. Upon arrival, police reviewed video footage capturing the suspects and their vehicle, a silver Ford F-150, which was later located with the stolen decorations in plain view inside.
Inside the vehicle, officers found ten male occupants, aged 18 to 20, all wearing masks. One suspect possessed scissors intended for damaging decorations. During questioning, all ten admitted to traveling to Kyle specifically to steal Halloween decorations.
Additional items, including THC, alcohol, and a fake ID, were also found in the vehicle. The suspects now face charges for Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, Criminal Mischief, and Theft of Property.
"We will not tolerate actions that jeopardize the safety and holiday spirit of our community members," said Chief of Police Jeff Barnett. "The residents of Kyle deserve to celebrate holidays in a safe and joyful environment. We are committed to keeping our neighborhoods safe and ensuring that this upcoming holiday season remains a time of fun and happiness for everyone."

- Marcus Jay Valdez, 18
Nico Lawrence faces an additional charge for Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Brayden Golden is charged with possessing a False Driver's License/ID.
