The Kerrville Police Department (KPD), in partnership with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), has launched ongoing enhanced traffic enforcement to target unsafe driving in Kerrville. Officers will conduct additional patrols to promote safer driving and reduce vehicle crashes.
“Every single day since November 7, 2000, someone has died on Texas roadways. Our KPD team is determined to help make our city safer through traffic enforcement,” said Kerrville Chief of Police Chris McCall.
The grant-funded initiative focuses on violations such as speeding, unsafe lane changes, running red lights, failure to use turn signals, and failure to yield right of way.
“Our KPD team will be keeping a sharp eye out for speeding vehicles and other dangerous driving,” McCall said. “This traffic initiative is not only meant to supplement our enforcement efforts, but to also encourage drivers to slow down and be safe while they’re utilizing our roadways.”
