Bexar County Sheriff's Office Seeks Public's Assistance in Locating Missing Teen Abbigail Richter

The Bexar County Sheriff's Office is actively seeking the public's help in locating Abbigail Richter, a 17-year-old girl who has been reported missing since the evening of June 24, 2023. Abbigail was last seen in the 5000 block of Grand Lake at approximately 6:45 pm, and authorities are concerned for her safety.

Abbigail Richter is described as having a height of 5'7" and weighing approximately 145 pounds. She has brown eyes and brown hair. Notably, she has several distinctive tattoos, including a heart-shaped tattoo under her left eye, a "2005" tattoo on her left wrist, and a half moon sunrise tattoo on her left hand.

At the time of her disappearance, Abbigail was wearing a black t-shirt, red shorts, and black Nike sandals. She was also carrying a black string bag. It is important to note that Abbigail has medical conditions that require regular medication, raising concerns about her well-being.

Authorities are urging anyone who may have seen Abbigail Richter or has any information regarding her whereabouts to come forward and contact the Bexar County Sheriff's Office immediately. In their efforts to locate Abbigail, law enforcement officials have issued a stern warning to anyone found harboring her. According to the Bexar County Sheriff's Office, individuals who knowingly conceal or aid in the concealment of Abbigail may face charges for Harboring a Runaway, which is a Class A Misdemeanor. If convicted, they could face up to 1 year in jail and a fine not exceeding $5,000. Additionally, anyone interfering with child custody by concealing or facilitating the concealment of a child may be charged with a State Jail Felony. This offense carries a potential penalty of up to 2 years in jail and a fine not exceeding $10,000.
