Medina County firefighters were kept busy overnight with two separate major accidents in their district.
The first incident occurred just before 1 a.m. along FM 1283 near County Road 277 on the north side of the county. Details about this accident have not yet been released.
Shortly before 3 a.m., emergency crews were alerted to a single-vehicle rollover on Highway 90 near County Road 4713. Four individuals were inside the vehicle, with two managing to self-extricate before first responders arrived.
Engine and Medic 10 from Castroville arrived at the scene within six minutes, followed by Engine 11 and Medic and Engine 15. Firefighters successfully extricated the remaining two passengers within ten minutes. All four individuals were transported to the hospital for treatment.
Medina County Fire officials highlighted the challenging nature of local roadways and commended the quick response and teamwork of their crews in ensuring public safety.
