Charles Moreno has been named the newest School Resource Officer (SRO) for Bandera Independent School District (ISD) through a partnership with the Bandera County Sheriff's Office.
With 14 years of law enforcement experience, including nine years in school-based law enforcement, Moreno brings a wealth of expertise to his new role. A San Antonio native, Moreno has spent years serving in small-town communities, providing him with a unique understanding of their dynamics.
A father of four, Moreno's youngest child is 13, and one of his sons has followed in his footsteps into law enforcement. Moreno is deeply committed to building strong relationships with students and staff, emphasizing a safe and approachable environment for the entire school community.
As Bandera ISD's SRO, Moreno will work closely with school administrators and law enforcement to ensure the safety and well-being of students and staff across all campuses. His mission is to foster a secure learning environment and maintain open communication with students, parents, and staff.
