Shiye Fuentes, who was wanted in connection with a road rage shooting on January 1, 2025, in Seguin, has been arrested.
On January 31, 2025, the Seguin Police Department’s Case Unit and the New Braunfels Street Crimes Unit gathered information indicating that Fuentes was staying at a motel in New Braunfels, Texas. Around 11:00 p.m., the New Braunfels Police Department SWAT team executed a search warrant and took Fuentes into custody without incident.
Fuentes was subsequently turned over to the Seguin Police Department Case Unit and booked into the Guadalupe County Jail with a bond set at $175,000. During the search of the motel room, law enforcement recovered a handgun, ammunition, and illegal narcotics.
The Seguin Police Department expressed appreciation for the collaborative efforts between Seguin PD, New Braunfels PD, and all parties involved in resolving the case.
