Schertz Police Investigate Reported Attempted Kidnapping of Teen Girl

On March 6, 2025, at approximately 4:13 p.m., the Schertz Police Department responded to a report of an alleged attempted kidnapping in the 1100 block of Oak Street.

A 16-year-old girl reported that she was walking home from school when she stopped at a convenience store and encountered a male inside. According to the teen, the man spoke to her, asked why she was walking alone, and then began chasing her, prompting her to call 911.

Officers quickly responded, working alongside the local community and the Guadalupe County Constable’s Office (Precinct 3) to develop leads and identify a person of interest. However, conflicting evidence in the teen’s account has led investigators to continue their inquiry without making an arrest.

Authorities stated that there appears to be no ongoing threat to the community. The girl was not injured and was escorted home by a patrol officer.

The investigation remains active. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Schertz Police Department at 210-619-1245.
