Kendall County Deputy Awarded Officer of the Year at TASRO Conference

In a proud moment for the law enforcement community and the Boerne Independent School District, Deputy Jared Moore of Voss Middle School was awarded the prestigious TASRO (Texas Association of School Resource Officers) Officer of the Year Award for the entire State of Texas. The esteemed recognition was presented at the Texas Association of School Resource Officers Conference held in Corpus Christi.

Deputy Moore's commendable achievements and his unwavering dedication to his role as a School Resource Officer (SRO) were lauded by the TASRO, earning him the top honor from among fellow officers statewide. Having served with the Sheriff's Office since January 2014, Deputy Moore's deep commitment to his community and his passion for protecting and guiding the students of Boerne ISD made him stand out as a deserving recipient of this accolade.

A true native of Boerne, Deputy Moore considers being an SRO the pinnacle of his career in law enforcement. Throughout his tenure, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment to fostering a safe and supportive learning environment for the students he serves.
