The Shavano Park Police Department reports a total of 46 calls for service for the week of Oct. 19-25, 2023.
Recovered Stolen Property – On Friday morning, October 20th at approximately 3:00 a.m., an officer on patrol in the 4000 block of Pond Hill discovered an abandoned vehicle parked behind the business. The officer checked the vehicle registration information and discovered the vehicle had been reported stolen by the San Antonio Police Department. The officer recovered and impounded the vehicle. This case forwarded to criminal investigations for follow-up.
Forgery – On Wednesday afternoon, October 25th at approximately 1:15 p.m., officers were dispatched to a business in the 4100 block of N Loop 1604 for a report of counterfeit money passed at the location. Upon arrival, the complainant related an employee had accepted a $100 bill for payment. The complainant related the employee did not check the item for authenticity and completed the transaction. This case forwarded to criminal investigations for follow-up.
Burglary of Vehicle – On Saturday morning, October 14th at approximately 9:30 a.m., officers were dispatched to a residence on Happy Trail for a report of a vehicle burglary. Upon arrival, officers contacted the resident who stated they had discovered car doors open on two of their vehicles, a couple hours earlier. The resident exclaimed one of the vehicles contained a laptop bag, laptop and a large amount of cash that is missing. The resident related their outdoor surveillance camera captured three subjects entering their unlocked vehicles shortly before 1 a.m. that night and removing the property. This case forwarded to criminal investigations for follow-up.
