Kerrville Man Arrested for Assaulting Pregnant Woman in Domestic Disturbance

Jesse James Curtis

On December 26, 2023, Kerr County Sheriff's Office Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance call in the 1600 block of 1st Street in Kerrville. Upon arrival, officers encountered a 27-year-old male identified as Jesse James Curtis, who had allegedly assaulted a pregnant woman inside the residence.

Curtis was promptly arrested and has been charged with assault of a pregnant person and making a terroristic threat against a peace officer. His total bond has been set at $65,000.

This is not the first time Curtis has faced charges of violent behavior. In 2019, he was accused of brutally attacking his estranged pregnant wife in San Antonio. According to court documents from that incident, Curtis and the victim had been separated for several months and already had two children together, with a third on the way.

During the 2019 assault, the victim reported that Curtis, enraged after learning she was dating another man, physically assaulted her at a motel where she was staying. The attack included punches to the face, causing her to lose consciousness, and subsequent kicks to the head and back. The victim also claimed Curtis attempted to kick her in the stomach as she curled up to protect the child in her womb.

Jesse James Curtis now faces legal consequences for his actions in the recent domestic disturbance case in Kerrville, adding to his history of violence.
